AlphaButt

A while ago there was a challenge going around to list your favorite movies: one for every letter of the alphabet. Is it too late to participate? Does anyone care anymore?

All the Real Girls
Badlands (B was definitely the hardest. In close second was The Brood)
Cecil B. Demented
Dont Look Back
Empire Records
Fargo
Godfather II (The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly just wouldn’t cut it for G or B (Buono) if only it could go by U…)
Hannah and her Sisters
Invaders from Mars
Jurassic Park
Kill Bill Vol. 2
L’Avventura
My Darling Clementine
Night of the Living Dead
Ordet
Passion of Joan of Arc, The
Quart cents Coups, Les (The 400 Blows. Tricky with the French, right?)
Rushmore
Stroszek
Time Bandits (Beating out Titus, Through a Glass Darkly, and Taxi Driver)
Unforgiven
Vagina Monologues, The
Willy Wanka and the Chocolate Factory
X-files: Fight the Future
Yojimbo
Zodiac (it’s a whole lot better than Zombie Lake)children_s_wooden_alphabet1Now I want to see Brian’s list.

  1. Oh, Kimmy Dawson reference… I’ll give it a shot, but do the titles have to be in English or their native title? While that may give me a little help, it ma, conversely, give me some trouble with my L’s, La’s, and Los’s.

  2. My apologies to Kimya for getting her name wrong.

i’ll work on it tonight. and thanks for resurrecting this blog.

  4. brian

but i know a couple already:
b: bill and ted’s excellent adventure
    v: videodrome

  5. brian

in spanish b and v are pretty much identical, or that’s what they told me

  6. I had a hard time with V because I didn’t love Videodrome as much as you guys did…and then I had a hard time with B because there are way too many.
